TCF Australia is taking part in the PayPal Melbourne Fashion Festival’s Fashion Culture Program for 2023 and will offer free access to export assistance for small businesses operating in the fashion, textile, clothing, footwear, leather, accessories, creative and related TCFL industry sectors across Australia.
The Fashion Culture Program is an integral component of the Festival, exploring fashion in the realms of culture and the arts; highlighting the breadth and diversity of fashion beyond the runway or as a retail experience.
TCF Australia Export Workshops for the Fashion Culture will be held on Friday, March 10, and will include:
1. Introduction to Exporting 9.30 am-11.30 am: Market Research, International Agents, Contracts, Pricing, Incoterms
2. Export Guide for Small Business 12noon -2pm: EMDG grants, EFA finance, FTA’s, Logistics, ATT, IP, Risks
3. Export Market Development Grant Program 2.30 pm-4.30 pm: Austrade services, country insights, allowable/not allowable EMDG claims, timelines, EMDG Grant applications
The workshops will be held at IBIS Melbourne Hotel, Swanston Room, 15 Therry Street, Melbourne, and will include a buffet lunch and morning and afternoon tea.

Business owners and managers nationally can benefit from an extensive range of free support through the TCF Australia Export Training & Mentoring Project. It includes one/one mentoring, helpline support, online webinars, and forums to prepare for exporting and gain knowledge into how best to prepare an application for the Austrade Export Market Development Grants Program.
Approved applicants for EMDG can access up to $700k over eight years to assist with their global marketing, overseas travel, accommodation, intellectual property, and foreign buyer visits. Assistance also includes consultants to undertake research, buyer samples, country representatives, overseas exhibitions, promotion, and advertising material.
