Hong Kong Fashion Week has been moved from its traditional January time slot. Organisers had originally postponed the fair to April but have since confirmed the exhibition will now take place from July 25-28 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The outbreak of the novel coronavirus prompted organisers, Hong Kong Trade Development Council to defer a number of fairs, citing the safety of exhibitors and buyers as a priority.
HKFW will feature a series of fashion shows and a wide range of exhibitors whose offer includes fabrics, garments, accessories and related services. It will now run concurrently with the HKTDC Hong Kong International Home Textiles and Furnishings Fair and the Hong Kong Houseware fair, alongside other selected trade fairs.
Other fairs that will also take place at the HKCEC from July 25-28 include the HKTDC Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Spring edition); HKTDC Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Spring Edition); HKTDC International TCT Expo; HKTDC International Printing and Packaging Fair and the HKTDC Hong Kong Gifts and Premium Fair.
The HKTDC Jewellery fairs – the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show and Hong Kong International Gem & Pearl Show have also been moved. Originally scheduled to run in March, the jewellery fairs will now be staged at the Asia World-Expo from May 18-21.
* With the Compulsory Quarantine of Persons Arriving at Hong Kong from Foreign Places Regulation in place, it has been acknowledged that overseas exhibitors and buyers would have great difficulty joining the HKTDC Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show 2020 and the HKTDC Hong Kong International Jewellery Show 2020 on 18-21 May as originally scheduled.
The HKTDC has rescheduled the twin fairs to be held from August 3-6, 2020 at the AsiaWorld-Expo.
