Striking swim and resort wear looks on show at Paraiso Miami Swim Week

Paraiso Miami Swim Week took place at Miami Beach from June 8-11 and explored innovative design, inclusivity and diversity in a series of shows held in an experiential tent at Paraiso Miami Beach. Sustainability themes featured in the show that ran from June 8-11. Retro styling, ruching, one shoulder looks, neutral shades, intricate patterning, classic whites and buckle detailing were among looks shown in a variety of collections showcased on the runway during the four day event.

Colombian brand OneOneshowcased a collection that blended nostalgia with contemporary aesthetics, as retro styled silhouettes sported bold colour blocking and vibrant prints. Each piece from sleek one-pieces, flirty neon bikinis and a resort wear line echoed a vintage feel while embracing modernity.

Innovative plant-based swimwear formed the basis of the ‘Coral City’ collection by Natasha Tonic, an array of striking one-piece swimsuits and bikinis adorned with intricate coral prints and textures. The designer of the Los Angeles based brand collaborated with Coral Morphologic – a Miami based pioneer in the study and conservation of coral reefs –to create a coral-inspired swimwear range aimed at generating awareness of the dangers facing coral reefs worldwide. 

.Breathable hemp fabric featured in every piece Ms Tonic created, drawing on a pallete of electric green, coral orange, white coral and Pacific blue, inspired by endangered reefs off Miami coastlines.
